Lhuentse Dzongkhag Administration, in collaboration with regional offices, Lhuentse Dratshang and the eight gewogs, observed World Environment Day 2025 through cleaning campaigns along streams, highways, gewog roads, and public spaces. As part of the nationwide river cleaning initiative, nearby streams were also cleaned to help maintain their ecological health.
The primary objective was to raise awareness on effective waste management and promote the reduction of plastic waste, in alignment with the global theme, “Fighting Plastic Pollution.”
The Administration extends its gratitude to all participants and encourages continued efforts to protect and preserve our environment.
