History of the school

Minjey Middle Secondary is located 12 kilometers away from the highway, opposite to the Takila, Tangmachu and stands at the heart of Minjey Gewog. It has been upgraded to a full- fledged boarding school from the 2014 academic year vide approval letter MoE-PPD/Lhuentse/2013/3546 dated January 7, 2014.

It was established in the year 1990 as an extended classroom in Wangzhing Lhakhang.
