The training on Waste Management and Innovative Product Development from Waste by the Self Help Women Group, who were trained through the Youth Development Fund concludes today (26th October). The three weeks (21 days) training was supported by the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment with the goal of mainstreaming gender into biodiversity conservation and tourism development in the demonstration landscape.

A total of 37 female trainees were trained and equipped with skills for recycling and repurposing plastic trash into creative goods as well as knowledge on waste management.
Honorable Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drangpoen, Dasho Dzongrab and all the sector heads of Lhuentse Dzongkhag Administration graced the closing event and awarded certificates to all the participants.
