Ensure the pursuance of the noble development objective of Gross National Happiness (GNH) for the benefit of all Bhutanese for all time to come.
Mission:
Ensure that GNH is mainstreamed into the planning, policy making and implementation process.
Goals:
- Provide/Prepare long term development framework for the five year plans and programmes.
- Plan, co-ordinate, support and monitor the development and implementation of the Five year and Annual Plans of the Central Agencies.
- Plan, co-ordinate, support and monitor the development and implementation of the Five year and Annual Plans of the local governments.
- Coordinate and manage the external assistance within the framework of the development Cooperation Policies.
- Commission policy research and analysis to maintain coherence and consistency in the policies, objectives and programmes; . To also evaluate national development programmes and outcomes against the GNH indicators.
