On this joyous occasion of 47th coronation day of our beloved 4th Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck, we would like to join the nation by offering butter lamps and reciting Zhabten to pay our heartfelt gratitude and humble prayers for His Majesty’s longevity and good health.

The Dzongkhag Administration further observed this day to pay our tribute to the great 4th king for his visionary reforms of Environmental conservation embedded in Gross National Happiness. As the day coincides with “The Social Forestry Day”, the Dzongkhag Administration commemorated the happy event by supporting the theme for International day of forest 2022, “Forests and Sustainable Production and Consumption.” The event was marked by planting 650 cherry seedlings and 50 cypress seedlings to protect our environment as well as to beautify our surroundings and Lhuentse Dzongkhag as a whole.
