The 7th Dzongkhag Tshogdue session was held from 15 - 16 August 2024.
Since the first day of the session coincided with the 78th Independence Day of India, the participants of the DT session offered our warmest tashi delek to the people and the government of India and prayed for the continued growth of mutual respect and cooperation between Bhutan and India.
In the session, the house endorsed the first-year budget and activities of the 13th Five Year-Plan for both the Dzongkhag and Gewogs. This was followed by discussions and drawing of resolution on various important developmental activities.
Moreover, taking the opportunity of the presence of LG members, regional and Dzongkhag sector heads, important sensitizations related to disaster preparedness and management, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Monkeypox, and the importance of supporting Bhutan Trust Fund were conducted by Dzongkhag relevant officials.
The session concluded with offering of His Majesty's Zhabten and Tashi Moenlam.
